  • Postpartum Cycle Tracking with Natalie Elliot
Spread the love

In this engaging episode, Christine Eck welcomes women’s health practitioner and podcast host Natalie Elliot to the Sacred Window Podcast. Together, they embark on a thoughtful exploration of cycle tracking, with a special emphasis on the unique challenges and opportunities that arise during the postpartum period. Natalie’s background in traditional Chinese medicine and holistic women’s health sets the stage for a conversation that is both deeply personal and widely relevant.

Natalie shares her own transformative journey from struggling with menstrual health to becoming a passionate advocate for cycle awareness. She offers practical guidance on fertility awareness methods, demystifies the process of tracking cycles after childbirth, and explains how subtle signs—like changes in energy, desire, and emotional resilience—can provide valuable insights into a woman’s health. The discussion also highlights the integration of ancient wisdom from traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda, emphasizing the importance of aligning with the body’s natural rhythms.

Ultimately, this conversation reveals how cycle tracking can be a powerful diagnostic tool and a source of empowerment for women at every stage of life. By tuning into their bodies and honoring cyclical changes, women can cultivate greater well-being, emotional balance, and harmony in daily routines. Readers are invited to discover how these insights can inspire a more intentional and connected approach to health, both postpartum and beyond.

  1. And yet there is still more nuance to each women’s body.
I got my period back both times 6-8 weeks postpartum while exclusively breastfeeding and staying home.
Then got pregnant breast feeding and staying home With my baby at 9 months. Consistent periods and not sporadic.
Then was breast feeding two toddlers and still got pregnant again at 2 years post partum.

The myth of breast feeding being bc is not reliable. I was cycle tracking and knew each time that if we continued I would surely get pregnant at that moment. And I did, each time. I knew exactly when I was ovulating.

Just some insight from a post partum mom.
