Kasey Smith
My mission is to change how we view postpartum recovery and support mothers through the first forty days postpartum and beyond.
I help pregnant women plan a nourishing postpartum experience & support new mothers with holistic in-home mama care services and online coaching. My goal is to help you build your village so you can feel happy, loved and supported. My focus is on helping women and their families navigate the postpartum period known in many cultures as the first forty days or sacred window. I do this by providing holistic mama care and nourishing support. This support helps you shift from feeling overwhelmed and anxious to feeling loved and nurtured during your postpartum. When YOU feel nourished, you can be a better mama for your baby and other children, if you have them.

My mission is to curate a community that cares about people over profits. That understands that by educating, caring for, and holding space for healing, each person has the opportunity to learn and grow past what their previous lived experiences have been.
That learning and growing is a lifelong journey and that healing is a never-ending gift that we receive by continuing to connect and reconnect with our own selves. I am centrally focused on childbirth but my work holds so much more. It’s the birth of anything. Of the ending or beginning of a chapter of life, of a baby, of self-healing, of plants, of chosen family, spirituality, of the reconnection to resources, and of the expansion of the human experience through transformation of body, mind, and soul.
My goal through everything that I share is connection. First, to one's own self. And expanding into the connection of people to a community. A community to education and healing. And through education, healing and community, to a better world.
My work is designed to entice dialogue around empathy, discovery of self, soul-truths, vulnerability, social impact, commonality, and community. I offer 1:1 consultations for self connection and exploration, education, healing, and holding space for loving care for birthing people, their families, and individuals seeking to move forward into a new chapter of their life and selves. Education and hands on support are woven together as a collective of Ayurveda, ancient + holistic knowledge of healing, plant medicines, communal care taking, slow living, intuitive wisdom, somatic practices, and Western medicine.
With everything offered, the end goal is to help guide each human to reconnecting with their own powers of self healing through intimate, compassionate, teaching, loving care.

My wish is for all birthers to be fully supported, so they can get the rest they need, the nourishment, love, and care, to fully heal, recover, and bond with their little one. This level of care is fundamental in shaping who they are and will become, how they are able to care for themselves and their families, and their greater communities.
I am a Mama of 3, an Ayurvedic bodywork practitioner, a Yoga teacher specializing in pregnancy and postpartum, a Reiki Master, a breast/chest feeding peer support volunteer, and maker of all-natural herbal products that add an extra layer of support to birthers and their families.
All of these beautiful practices and experiences are woven together to provide loving care for birthers and their sweet babes.
The immediate postpartum has my heart.

Lotus Mother Care’s goal is to be a driving force in creating a paradigm shift in the way we think about postpartum. Our vision is to see more attention and support given to mothers after birth. We would like to see hospitals, doctors, nurses, insurance companies, and other supporting organizations embracing this need and collaborating on ideas to fill this current hole in our thinking and treatment of postnatal mothers. Lotus Mother Care’s mission is to create an empowering postpartum experience for every mother. It’s a woman’s birthright and it is essential for sustaining herself, her family and society at large.

A keen Ayurvedic student for many years I was thrilled to discover the very specific, and in depth, teachings that are available for the postpartum mother. Foods - loving support - self care practices - environment - baby care- it's all there!
I followed the recommendations to the best of my ability with the birth of my own son and was so nourished and supported by the delicious foods and simple but profound practices that I was convinced to start training as an Ayurdoula with the Center for Sacred Window Studies. I wanted to be able to bring this knowledge to my own community and help new mothers through their own sacred window time.
I have also trained as an Elimination Communication coach after going through the first year of life with my own son listening and learning his unique elimination language. I feel that becoming a coach and being able to confidently teach original tribal potty learning is a great extra bonus for mothers in my postpartum care.
I am available locally in Nevada county for in home care and Ayurvedic cooking, plus remotely online worldwide.
I love providing care through my unique plant-based and low-waste focused lens for those who that is important too. I can also cater to vegetarian needs. I teach and model holistic living and sustainability- these values are intrinsic to my work.

Hi! I'm Leah, the face & doula behind Sacred Moon Healing! Pregnancy and birth have always fascinated me. I remember being 18 and YouTubing natural childbirth, alternative healing and really just questioning our modern standards of physical & mental healthcare. Along my journey I stumbled across Ayurveda, which immediately resonated with me, and so I began to dive deeper into studying and practicing these ancient traditions. I also began to notice an astonishing rise in the lack of postpartum care offered and its correlation to depression. So when I found out my sisters were pregnant (at the same time), I knew I wanted to support them in the best way possible! I spent time nourishing them in their early postpartum period, not quite knowing exactly what to do, just following my intuition. This was such a beautiful experience that I realized I wanted to become a certified postpartum doula and redirect my path. And that's when the two worlds of Ayurveda and postpartum care merged, bringing me to where I am today! I have had the honor of studying and receiving mentorship from one of the world’s leading natural mama & baby care specialists and advocate for women’s postpartum health, Sarva Blackwell of Inner Sun & Moon. It is such an honor to sit with new mamas as they recover from the incredible transformation of pregnancy and birth!
It is my passion to empower and educate women of all ages to step into their divinity through womb wisdom, subtle therapies & spiritual resilience. My offerings combine ancient & innate wisdom, while utilizing my credentials in the following areas: BS in Exercise Science & Kinesiology, certified Holistic Nutritionist, certified Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula, Yoni Steam Specialist, & RYT 200. I am also pursuing trainings in Craniosacral Therapy to further benefit the mamas I work with through helping restore musculoskeletal reintegration, emotional balance and pelvic health and also help alleviate the discomforts of newborn care and mothering.
I look forward to connecting with you on your postpartum journey.
Sat Nam,
Leah

Nourishing Alchemy, Thriving Families
Jem is passionate about supporting parents physically and emotionally in the sacred pregnancy and postpartum window, and helping them to learn the practices and embodied skills they need to Thrive — in all aspects of their personal health, as well as in their relationships.
She has seen how common it is for unhelpful, often trauma-related patterns to get re-triggered in pregnancy and postpartum, and is especially passionate about helping clients identify and transform the stress-based patterns that no longer serve them — including helping very independent women to rest, ask for, and accept loving postpartum support!
She loves supporting clients in breaking generational cycles of trauma and chronic stress (including hyper-independence, trust issues, health challenges, mood “disorders”, physical & emotional triggers), so they can feel empowered to be the people and parents they want to be, with practical skills to nourish their own and their families’ well-being, so the next generation can enjoy more vibrant health, emotional freedom, and deeper connection.
She deeply believes that when parents have the support and tools they need to balance their own nervous systems with compassionate understanding, parenting becomes more joyful and easeful, and the effects reverberate throughout their families and communities, to allow us to co-create a more harmonious world in which we All can Thrive.
Jem is a trauma-informed Daoist sacred embodiment facilitator, licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. Her practice integrates classical Chinese medicine, holistic nutrition, meditation, body-centered healing practices (massage, qigong, acupuncture, breathwork, Jade egg yoni exercises, & Daoist inner alchemy), and feminine power coaching to support her clients to thrive in their own health and in family life.
She loves working 1:1, both online and in person, as well as in groups and online classes, to make these practices as accessible as possible to all who desire them.
